Tick things off as you gather them.
Steps
- Search first to make sure no one has a mark like yours. Do it yourself or pay JIPO.
- Fill in Form TM1 online on e-JIPO or at the office.
- Describe exactly which goods or services it covers.
- Pay the application fee (not refundable).
- If accepted, pay the registration fee. It is published, then registered.
Cost
Application $13,700 for the first class, plus $4,200 per extra class. Registration $17,700. JIPO search $4,200 per class.
